Established in 1952 as Dom Pionira, upon the initiative of the City Pioneer Council. Its founder is the City Assembly of Belgrade. The Children's Cultural Center Belgrade through its program encourages individual creative potential of a child, and the consciousness of its rights. It also fulfills child's spare time with its affinities, creative play, while sociopsychologically integrating it into the group. By its program it addresses the youngest citizens of Belgrade, 4-18 years old.
The Children's Cultural Center Belgrade organizes the greatest international children's event of the city of Belgrade, "The Joy of Europe" - The International Meeting of the Children of Europe, as well as other manifestations: International Children's Drawing and Painting Contest "Joy of Europe", The Children's Music Festival - "Children Composers" and The Children's Song Contest "Little Mermaid".
