SEASON 2009/2010:

Public appearance and me – the culture of self-expression
Age group: 11 – 16 years
Class of 90 minutes once weekly

The accomplishment of the basic art and technique of speaking, preparation for public appearance, the interpretation and analysis of works of literature and writing speeches. Children achieve self-confidence and freedom from stage-fright, as well as developing the culture of self-expression and preparing themselves for appearing in public.

Speech culture and acting studio
Age group: 6 - 18 years
Classes of 90 minutes twice weekly

Children discover and get to know themselves and the world around them. Through diction and concentration exercises the children achieve self-confidence and with the aid of improvisation develop both imagination and creativity which culminates in a performance.

English Language Youth Theatre - English drama school
Age group: 9 – 21 years
Classes of 90 minutes twice weekly

In a relaxed and playful atmosphere participants develop the skills necessary for creating a theatrical performance. The classes are in English, which means a basic knowledge of the language is necessary.

Drama Studio “From Playing to the Stage”
Age group: 7 – 15 years
Classes of 90 minutes twice weekly

The aim is to develop the child’s freedom of speech, movement and use of space. Through exercises of observation, speech, diction and dialogue, the children develop their powers of concentration and attention as well as their imagination, and put this into practice through theatrical performance.

Ballet studio
Age group: 5 – 14 years
Classes of 60 minutes twice weekly

Through learning and developing the basic elements of classical ballet, and also contemporary and jazz dance, the children develop a sense of rhythm and musicality as well as an awareness of their body and its movement. They experience the dynamics and duration of movement and develop a perception of the space around them and the ability to use the body as an instrument of expression.

Jazz and Contemporary Dance
Age group: 15 – 18 years
Classes of 60 minutes twice weekly

The classes are based on warming-up exercises (developing and strengthening the muscles) as well as learning the technique of contemporary dance. In order to achieve the aim of developing bodily expression from spontaneous activity up to artistic realization, the accent is put on improvisation and the accumulation of knowledge.

The stimulation of children in various forms of musical expression, the development of the basic components of musicality, singing songs by ear, the nurturing of solo and group music-making and playing simple musical instruments.

Fine Arts Studio
Age group: 5 – 18 years
Lessons of 90 minutes twice weekly

Through spontaneous learning through play, children become familiar with the basic areas and techniques of the fine arts – drawing, painting, graphic art… They gradually master the language of painting and thus become able to express their experience of the world around them.

Applied Arts Studio
Age group: 5 – 18 years
Lessons of 90 minutes twice weekly

Children learn to sculpt and to work with the potter’s wheel and master the technique of painting with pigments.

Comic strip and caricature
Age group: 7 – 17 years
One class weekly:
- 180 minutes for older pupils
- 90 minutes for younger pupils

Mastering the technique of drawing comic strips, creating the individual parts of a comic strip as well as the complete article, with the aim of achieving critical and creative ideas on specific subjects.

Group led by: Mileta Miloradović, caricaturist

Film workshop
Age group:  10 – 18 years
One four-hour session weekly

Children learn to use film technology, as well as the technique of making short documentary and feature films and television reports. They also master the basic history of film, as well as film direction and editing.

Animated film workshop
Age group: 10 – 18 years
One four-hour session weekly

Becoming familiar with different techniques of classical animation - drawing on paper, Plasticine, collage, the animation of objects, picsillation-animation of human figures.
Working on the computer and mastering basic computer programmes. Individual or team realization of animated films.
